Originally from the Philippines, T. J. Lim is a member of the Yale College class of 2005 majoring in sociology and international studies. He has served as president of KASAMA (the Filipino club at Yale) and vice president for special events social chairperson of AIESEC (Yale's Student Exchange Club).

Quang Phu Van teaches Vietnamese Language and Literature at Yale under the auspices of the Council on Southeast Asia Studies. Dr. Van's interests and expertise are in the areas of Confucian thought and its reception in Vietnamese culture, as well as Vietnamese literature, folk literature, and poetry. He has spent considerable time in Vietnam developing teaching materials and producing DVD-based instructional language lessons and culturally informative videos.
